The Basin City Transaction (A Psychopath Goes Through a Sales Heat):
Every legendary salesman (read: contract killer) starts off in a complex tangled web, with several elements, called ‘the basin’. The basin, refers to a broad area, where there could potentially be development, however it is in a flat depression, without any source of processed water, instead having it nearby but behind a ridge, hence the eventually dryout of the basin, when the water scores the canyon or ridge etc. the other way, and the creek runs dry.
Therefore, you need to quarry out the ridge, from one side, before you chop out the hole, now a levee, to bring in the water to the basin, to create a new reservoir for civilization. This is how sales works, for a top earner.
The first stage, is identifying the various groups. First, we have the chief, Senator Rourke. Then, we have upper middle management, the Mafia. Next, we have the dwellers in the basin, the Girls of Old Town, meant to become citizens and consumers in our new environment. Finally, we have you, the Salesman.
The Mafia, manipulates a woman’s husband, into an affair, with one of the Girls of Old Town, the Narcotics Officer (snitchy). The woman, goes suicidal, and whomever she asks to kill her, is the new Salesman, you. She will pay you somehow, and give you your method of killing, also known as your Product (death). It could be a hired assassin’s bullet, a car, a bag of grass, high level pharmaceuticals, industrial research into housing, or anything. But it is your Product.
At this point, you have three stages to achieve. The Badge, the Hero, and the Boxer. Each one, has to become the real form, dissuading the image of what they seem to be on the surface, by becoming the apparent enemy in conception, until you become the actual form, in any order.
The Badge, is the father, the funding that protects the community (your revenue stream). To become the real Badge, you have to take down Junior, the deal on the outside, by duplicating whatever Junior did (your method of sales’ marketing point), to Junior, that made Junior become Junior in the first place. Now, you’re the Little Man, Daddy.
The Hero, is the son, the public face of your community (the public relations). To become the real Hero, you have to take down Jack, the false value, by ignoring everything else in your product line and merely focusing on the direct apparent, the outer image. You have to jack yourself off (bust up your product’s appearance and make it look real spiffy), to make it marketable. Now you’re Jacked Up, Kiddo.
The Boxer, is the mother, the reputation of your community (the forward marketing). To becoming the real Boxer, you have to box the Bishop, the prior champion, by taking your own medicine and pounding the pavement, getting through obstacle after obstacle and going deep into yourself, until you become a real motherfucker, you hate looking at yourself so you need to be alone, having become the epitomy of your own Product. Now, you’re on the Throne, Pope.
After these three stages are completed, the Mafia sweeps into Old Town, leaving the end of your Sales Heat. The Narcotics Officer, will come to you, for a Lit Cherry, one last night in bed with the man she screwed to get to you, and purchase the same lethal Product that killed your first sales (and we mean kill, two women will always die in a Sales Heat, whether it’s an oven or a sports car), however meant for a man – the husband of the dead woman from before, the Saint and the Snitch, the first and last kills, and the only two.
